This season, the NJCU softball team will commemorate the lives of athletes we have lost due to mental health challenges.
The goal of Morgan's Message is to lift the stigma associated with mental health among student-athletes. Mental health challenges don't discriminate, but student-athletes face unique pressures that too often remain hidden behind game-day smiles.
The NJCU softball team is championing the message of the Morgan's Message foundation to bring awareness to suicide prevention. Morgan's Message strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. They aim to expand the dialogue on mental health by normalizing conversations, empowering those who suffer in silence, and supporting those who feel alone Morgan's Message aims to lift the stigma associated with mental health among student-athletes, reminding us all that there is a difference between an athlete and a person. No matter what, you are more than your sport.
We would be honored if you could join us for this meaningful event or make a contribution to support the NJCU Softball Team and Morgan’s Message in our mission. Your presence and support can make a significant impact in promoting mental health awareness and supporting our student-athletes.
