Dear NJCU Athletics Alumni,

As the NJCU Athletics Department continues to build the fastest growing program in the state of New Jersey, it is important to celebrate our past: our traditions and our relationships with our NJCU Athletics Alumni — just like you. In June, we hosted our first-ever NJCU Athletics Alumni Golf Outing which was a great success and will become a new annual tradition for our alumni. That was the first of a number of new traditions we are launching to bring together our athletics alumni.

And while we know not everyone may be a golfer, everyone can bowl. This August 21, we welcome you, your friends, teammates, and spouses back to Jersey City for our inaugural NJCU Athletics Alumni Bowling Outing! This event will be a fun evening to reconnect with friends from the past and meet other athletics alumni who like you, once wore the green and gold. We plan to highlight multiple teams from the past, including the 1985-86 Men’s Basketball Final Four team and the 2007-08 Women’s Bowling National Third Place team, among others. Throughout the evening there will be raffle prizes to win, with one ultimate challenge to culminate the evening: Beat the Athletic Director, Shawn Tucker. Any bowler who achieves greatness by beating Shawn Tucker’s high score will receive a $25 gift certificate to use at our apparel tent at the event to claim brand new Gothic Knight swag, featuring our rebranded logos. There will also be a cash bar offered to those who attend during the final hour of the event. We hope to see you there! Go Gothic Knights!
